Jumbo Technology Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Evolution for Lightning Series Games

The complaint also states that Jumbo first informed Evolution about the potential infringement in June 2024, offering a reasonable licensing agreement. However, after a period of correspondence, Evolution allegedly declined to engage in licensing discussions and continued to deploy the disputed games across multiple U.S. markets, including Delaware, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan.

Jumbo’s lawsuit accuses Evolution of “wilful, deliberate, and intentional” infringement, asserting that the company had actual knowledge of the patent yet continued to operate its games without attempting to modify or license the technology.

As part of the legal action, Jumbo Technology is seeking damages for the alleged infringement, as well as enhanced compensation for the willful infringement of its patent. The lawsuit also demands reimbursement for legal fees. Jumbo’s complaint highlights the impact of this infringement on its business and claims that Evolution’s actions have harmed its reputation and potential licensing opportunities in the U.S. market.
