In order to even try, I had to pay nearly �? in fees just to deposit and withdraw, plus extra charges to set up their so-called “virtual card.�?That card never worked �?even though I already had enough balance, Skrill still demanded another top-up to activate it, then failed entirely. Now I’m left with a tiny unusable balance trapped in my account unless I pay yet another withdrawal fee.

On top of the money wasted, their �?4/7 live support�?is nothing but a bot that loops generic replies. When I raised a formal complaint, Skrill dismissed it out of hand without any attempt to acknowledge or resolve the problem.

The end result: lost money, wasted time, no working payment, and arrogant, dismissive service. I’ll be reporting this to the FCA and the Financial Ombudsman Service, because no customer should be treated this way.

Avoid Skrill at all costs.

The interface is easy to use, both on desktop and mobile, and I like that they support multiple currencies. Plus, the security is solid �?never had a problem there.

The only reason I’m giving 4.5 instead of a full 5 stars is the Paysafecard deposit fee. It used to be lower, but now it’s a steep 5%, which feels a bit much compared to before. Other than that, Skrill is still one of the best options out there.
