ICE North America scheduled to take place on May 13-14, 2020 has been postponed in order to help businesses focus on recovery due to COVID-19. The exhibition and conference are planned to be held in Spring 2021, the exact dates to be announced soon.

The deferment of this important industry event was confirmed by Kate Chambers, Managing Director of Clarion Gaming last week with a promise of full digital support in the meantime.

Biggest iGaming Gathering

The first-ever ICE North America was held last May at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, MA, USA, featuring 42 exhibitors including best providers of solutions for Live Blackjack and Live Roulette and over 200 expert speakers. The organizers were very proud of the fact, they were able to attract a total of 1,729 delegates and brought together 58 gaming jurisdictions from all over the world.

Representing the biggest and most influential iGaming gathering in this part of the globe, the meeting was a great success described by many as “a must to attend“ for all in the industry. No wonder, the gambling community couldn’t wait for the second event, which has been set for this May.

Horrendous Impact Of COVID-19

However, amid the current global situation with coronavirus, it was moved to Spring 2021. In her statement issued via the international media, Kate Chambers said:

“Gaming, in common with all sectors of the global economy, has been severely damaged by the horrendous impact caused by COVID-19. As event organisers immersed in the industry that we serve, we are fully aware of the economic turbulence being experienced by our friends and colleagues throughout the international supply chain – and our thoughts are with them.“

She also added: “Having consulted with the industry, my team and I will be paying close attention to the speed with which the virus is contained. Clearly this is an extremely dynamic situation and I will be personally keeping our stakeholders fully updated on how we propose to respond. These are unprecedented times and our sincere best wishes go to all of our stakeholders both in the United States and throughout world gaming.“

As for ICE Asia, which is set to be held at the beginning of June in Manilla, as well as ICE Africa scheduled for late October, both events are still unaffected by the COVID-19 outbreak. ICE London so far remains the only Clarion gaming fair to take place in 2020 and unveil plenty of new Live Dealer games with Evolution Gaming alone showcasing a fantastic line-up of twelve titles.
