Expanding into Europe

Ainsworth is one of the oldest and largest companies in the gambling industry. It was founded all the way back in 1995 in Sydney and since then has expanded its business into North and South America, Asia and even Europe.

SoftGamings provides software platforms for online casinos all over the world, but its biggest clients are in Europe. It has already included video slots from Evolution Gaming, BetSoft, QuickSpin, Microgaming, and NetEnt in their casino platforms.

They develop feature-rich turnkey platforms, white label platforms, self-service solutions and bitcoin casino solutions. On the other hand,  has built its success on land-based slot machines and is now looking to translate that triumph into the fast-moving online world.

Jason Lim, General Manager of Interactive and Online at Ainsworth, said: “We are excited to be partnering with SoftGamings in continuing our expansion into the European Real Money Gaming market and look forward to growing the online business with our latest land based games.”

Irina Sazonova, Director of Partnerships at SoftGamings, added: “Inking the partnership deal with Ainsworth Game Technology is a huge step forward and an important milestone for SoftGamings. We are happy to welcome the company to our family that already features 100+ providers and more than 3,000 games. Moreover, we are thrilled to offer Ainsworth’s games to our clients via SG’s unified API integration platform and look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with the provider.”

Looking Forward to Better Days

Ainsworth didn’t have the best of times in 2019, in February it reported a loss of AU$4 million for the last half of last year. That was quite a drop, as the same period of 2018 ended with a substantial profit of AU$12.1 million.

Its business still relied heavily on selling slot machines for brick and mortar casinos, but now the coronavirus pandemic has accelerated their plans to invest more into the online side of things.
